I underwent implantable contact lens (ICL) surgery with Dr Joseph and his team in October 2022. After many years of wearing specs and struggling with the discomfort of my contact lenses, due to my astigmatisms. I contacted Dr Joseph to see what options I had in terms of correcting my vision. After Dr Joseph’s assessment, he explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand and was kind enough to record his feedback and email it to me. Dr Joseph explained that although I wasn’t a candidate for laser (due to the severity of my loss and astigmatisms) I was a good candidate for ICLs. This procedure allows an implantable contact lens to be placed in front of your natural lens and behind your iris. I was 24 years old with a big decision to make but Dr Joseph and his team were very understanding and helpful. Dr Joseph answered all my questions and informed me of the risks and costs involved. He also allowed me to make my decision in my own time. The procedure itself was quick and painless and I was back at work in less than a week. Dr Joseph and his wonderful team guided me through the entire process and I am extremely happy with the outcome of the procedure. I can now wake up in the morning with 20/20 vision.
